Jewellery Care and Materials
Khamora Jewellery is curated of high quality materials, however, not properly caring for them will diminish their durability and shine, shortening the lifespan of their plating.
At Khamora, we want our customers to not only look luxurious, but also feel luxurious without worrying about our pieces irritating them, which is why our jewellery is also extremely safe for sensitive skin! Our materials are all nickel free and hypoallergenic, limiting any chances of an allergic reaction, rash or blisters.
STAINLESS STEEL:
Stainless steel, unlike other softer materials, can withstand most daily activities without sustaining corrosion and scratches. Plus, it doesn't tarnish so it looks good even with minimal maintenance! Our gold-plated stainless steel jewellery is made by electroplating 18k gold onto durable stainless steel.
925 STERLING SILVER:
Our pieces are hallmarked with the '925' stamp, indicating that they're made of 92.5% pure silver. Which are then plated with either 14k Gold, or Rhodium, per the below:
Gold Plated
Our 14k gold plated jewellery is 0.5 microns thick and is electroplated onto pure, solid 925 sterling silver, ensuring a longer lasting lifespan. Gold plating is more delicate.
Rhodium Plated
Our rhodium plated pieces are electroplated onto a 925 sterling silver base. This makes for strong and sturdy jewellery, more-likely to resist corrosion and tarnishing.
